The short version
This Privacy Policy applies to Chess+ for Apple Watch and its iPhone companion app, developed by Ahmad Mahrous.
Chess+ does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information. It has no account system and contains no advertising, tracking, analytics, or third-party data-collection SDKs.
What stays on your device
Chess+ stores only a few preferences locally: your selected game mode, computer difficulty from 1 to 10, and whether initial setup is complete. They are never sent to the developer.
Your current board position is used only while the game is running. Chess+ does not create an online profile or server-side game history. Removing the app removes its local app data, subject to Apple’s device and backup behavior.
Offline play and Apple services
Gameplay and the computer opponent work entirely offline. Chess+ makes no app-initiated network requests and operates no developer server.
Apple may process information when you download the app, use App Store services, sync or back up your device, or choose to share diagnostics with Apple. Apple controls that processing under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Third-party content
Chess+ bundles Cburnett chess-piece artwork distributed through Wikimedia Commons. The artwork is stored inside the app, does not run code, and cannot access your data.
Chess+ contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs and has no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Children’s privacy
Chess+ is suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children—or anyone else. The app has no accounts, communication features, advertising, or requests for personal information.
Security, retention, and changes
There is no developer-held personal data to secure, retain, sell, disclose, or delete. Local preferences remain protected by watchOS and iOS and can be cleared by removing Chess+ from your devices.
If Chess+ changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated before the new practice takes effect. The date below identifies the latest version.
